Suds and Scullery

As I get older, I look back, with great affection and nostalgia, at the stories shared by my parents and grandparents ~ about everything from making straw ticks to candles ~ sausage to sauerkraut, and I realize just how removed so many of my generation have become from this wholesome and life-giving inheritance.

This website is my humble effort to begin to accumulate some of these tried and true traditions from days gone by, and make them available to those who, like me, long to maintain a connection with those who have gone before.
